Warringah Concert Brass and Warringah Community Brass continue to show they are a force to be reckoned with in Australian Banding.
The Community Brass continued its excellent form, building on its two C Grade NSW titles, to once again claim second place in the National competition. The band sounded great and with some outstanding individual performances.
The Concert Brass showed once again that when it is in the zone it can mix it with the best of bands. After a disappointing first day of competition the band bounced back in the Own Choice and March to find themselves in the top three scores with the judges. An excellent result.
After the band competition there was still work to be done by Warringah’s outstanding soloists, who competed against the best in the country. Once again all players performed brilliantly, with a special mention to the Kaushik sisters, Nishta and Nandini, who both achieved National titles on their instruments. This is a fantastic result and is a credit to themselves and to the people who support them.
